Determination. This word is actually on my goals’ list for this year. I want to remain determined to be consistent with God, praying, blogging, and school. It is also an excellent characteristic to review since this blog is late. I know I am not the only one who makes goals, some that are simple to achieve and some that are not, but you have a hard time meeting them. At this point, it is relatively easy for me to write a blog daily. However, it is not so easy to write a blog when you want to have genuine family time and not get behind on your school work. There is this triangle theory that believes if you have three things that you want to do and you put each on a corner of a triangle, you will notice that you can only do two at a time. Well, today when I put blogging, family, and school on the triangle, I go to family and some school planning.

Now, I ask you to put God on your triangle with two other topics. Towards what two sides do you tend to gravitate? It is not that you cannot address all three of those passions daily, but you have to be determined to get the tasks done. You also have to be determined to have a relationship with God, daily. I often feel like we put God on the back burner in the midst of our busy schedules. However, it is essential to know our fuel to maintain those schedules are with God. I have heard myself say several times” what happened to my determination?” I know that I want to achieve this goal, but my will power is low, my mind is foggy, and my energy is on zero. These symptoms are occurring because I have not plugged into the right source. Romans 12: 11-12 states ”  Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord.  Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer” This verse is what you need to have a relationship with God and stay fueled up so you can act with determination. Every time we get off this guideline, we drain our fuel unnecessarily. I encourage you to follow this outline and see how God moves in your life, how you accomplish the things you have on your list, and most importantly how your relationship grows with God.

Today’a prayer

God, thank you for waking me up today. Thank you for planning an agenda for my day that is in my favor. Holy Spirit guide me to fulfill that agenda today. God, I chose you first, and I am determined to grow our relationship. I am also determined to fulfill the plans you have for me today, but I know I need to be plugged into you in order to achieve my goals and receive the blessings you have for me.

Peace, Love, Joy, and Blessings
