Goodness. The chaos around us can be so consuming and dark. However, there is one thing we can count on, God’s goodness. Psalm 27:13-14 MSG states ” I’m sure now I’ll see God’s goodness in the exuberant earth. Stay with God! Take heart. Don’t quit. I’ll say it again: Stay with God!” This verse is encouraging us to stay with God’s vision when the world is showing another way. It is with God that we experience the goodness that nothing can take away or overshadow.

There are so many things that happen to us that leave us with a message of failure and a checklist to quit. Quitting is sometimes easier than sticking it out, it seems. However, if we refer to Philippians 4:13 “I can do ALL things through CHRIST who STRENGTHENS me,” we see that we cannot strengthen ourselves, only Christ can. We never had the strength or capability to complete the task on our own. We never had the strength on our own to go through the challenges of this world; it is only spiritual strength that can see us through. It is also that spiritual relationship with God that allows us to see the goodness that surrounds us daily. Look for God’s goodness; it’s already surrounding you.

Today’s Prayer
God, thank you for blessing me with this beautiful day. Even when I think that it could have been better, I know that everything that happened today was for my good. God, I want to see your goodness every day. Lord, I know that if I ask for your plans for me daily, I will be able to not only be aware of your goodness but enjoy it. God, I cannot wait to see what you have in store for me this year. I love you Dad.

In Jesus’ Name, Amen

Peace, Love, Joy, and Abundant Blessings
