Faithfulness

Faithfulness. Faith is one area that is the foundation of our entire relationship with God and is an area where people often struggle. According to the NIV version Hebrews 11:1 ” Faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” I also want to relate this to the Hebrews 11: 1-2 MSG version, “The fundamental fact of existence is that this trust in God, this faith, is the firm foundation under everything that makes life worth living. It’s our handle on what we can’t see. The act of faith is what distinguished our ancestors, set them above the crowd.” This version stated that faith is the fundamental fact of existence; it is fundamental because it is the act of trusting God. If we cannot trust God, as believers, how can we imagine our being that He created

It is easy, at times, to trust things that were human-made, made by your peers. However, there have been many instances that your peers are the ones who have caused you the most hurt. Would you knowingly put your life in the hands of someone who has caused you so much pain? Would you intentionally put your life in the hands of someone who hurt you and they never had your well-being in mind? I say this because there are many instances where we feel like we are going through unnecessary heartache and we wonder what have we done, why is God treating us this way. However, sometimes it is essential to see what we could have done to aid in getting us in that position.

Did we seek Him for guidance first, or did we wait until we were halfway in the middle, and He has to help turn the whole ship around? Did we hear him say go left, but the right was looking so good that we could not resist? Are we hurting and have no clue what we could have done, but we have yet to seek God for guidance or healing? I’m not saying that with God the storms won’t come because they inevitably will. I’m encouraging you to put your faith in the ever-protecting, never-failing lifeboat of Jesus versus those who cannot see the entire picture of your storm. God knows every turn your life can and will make, and He knows what you need. We cannot see the 3-D versions of our lives; we only look across this one plane. God not only knows the 3-D versions, but he also knows what composes it because He created. I encourage you to put your faith in God and see how life gets a little better every day because God is guiding you along the way.

Today’s Prayer
God, thank you for waking us this morning and for the opportunity to be in your presence. Lord, today I trust you to guide me through the plans you have for me today. I want to live your agenda today. God even when the way does not seem clear, I will listen to your voice guide me through. I know that I can trust you because I remember several times that you made a way out of what seemed no way. Today, I chose to have faith, and I decided to live for and with you. I love you, Lord.

Amen

Peace, Love, Joy, and Abundant Blessings
