Peace

Peace. Peace is a word that I have become to love so much. I have reached a point that when I hear it or say it, I feel a soothing rush come over me. I seek peace, daily. It is essential with the world that surrounds us. However, we have to make sure we are seeking peace from the right places. Philippians 4:7 states ” And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” This verse is speaking to me so much.

First, the verse reminds us God will guard our hearts and our minds from all the calamity that we may be facing and the problems attacking our hearts and our minds. All of those attacks that are trying to weaken us will prove to be invalid. Second, to receive that security, we must accept the peace of God. To receive this great peace, we have to seek God. Ways we can seek God is through spending alone time with him, just having a conversation as you would with a friend. He is our friend and so much more. We can meditate on the Word of the Bible; in these words, we can see the power of God and get the guide on how to receive all that He has for us.

Thirdly, the scripture says that the peace of God transcends all understanding. A lot of times, we don’t accept God because we think He doesn’t understand. To be honest half of the time we don’t understand, we believe some of the problems we are having are superficial. However, these problems are usually stemming from deep roots and generational issues. God not only understands this, but He knows what you need to break those chains that are trying to hold you in this place of torment. Seek the peace that only God can give, a peace that heals, protects, and grows.

My Prayer

God, thank you for waking us this morning and blessing us with an opportunity to be in your presence. God, we do not know what is on our agendas today, but you do. Therefore, we chose to live your agenda today. We know when we choose your agenda, the Holy Spirit will guide us. Also, with the Holy Spirit’s guidance, we can choose peace today. We choose peace because we know that whatever we may face you are beside us, you are with us. Also, we know that everything that is happening is for our good. Regardless of how it seems, you are worthing things for our good. We will learn, we will grow, and we will evolve into who you created us to be. The storms may come, but you say be calm because you will never leave us. I believe this Dad. I want to thank you in advance for never leaving me. I want to thank you in advance for this peace that I could only get from you. I love you.

Amen
